The landscape seemed to hold its breath, wrapped in a soft grey veil of light and mist.This painting captures that calm: the gentle presence of water and sky merging in a moment of stillness. Through soft layers of oil and subtle tonal shifts, I aimed to translate not just the view, but the feeling—of slowness, safety, and serenity in nature's subdued mood.I hope viewers sense the intimacy of that moment, and feel that silent edge between sea and sky.

More than a depiction of place, this painting emerged from a subconscious space—created in a kind of trance where the separation between shape and color felt fluid, instinctive, almost unintentional.While it echoes the idea of a horizon or a distant landscape, it resists direct representation. Instead, it lives in the in-between—a space of emotional resonance, memory, and color as feeling. The warm, earthy palette evokes both grounding and intensity, a push and pull between depth and stillness.This work wasn’t planned. It happened to me. I followed the motion, and it revealed itself slowly, layer by layer. I hope viewers sense that immediacy and openness—an invitation to stand before the painting not to understand, but to feel.

This work speaks more to the inner landscape than the outer, allowing emotion and memory to shape the forms of nature.The choice of oil on linen allowed me to layer and blend the tones slowly, letting them settle into each other in a way that invites silence and stillness. I hope viewers feel that peace—that sense of standing before something vast, timeless, and deeply grounding.
